DCR , thanks for the great video on the Cougar!! I love the 351 Ford engine with the big heads and I enjoyed a 70 Torino GT many years ago with the cleveland motor. Cannot believe (other then both hoods) how solid the body is on that car. Thanks again and keep em coming!!

Years ago I knew of a 71 left in the mountains. Imyself had a 1964 International Scout and I needed a break line. A 71 Cougar and a 1964 International Scout have the same size break lines!

I have a 72 XR 7 that come with the 351 CJ. with a C6 trans. I pulled the motor and built it to the hilt. Probe 426 stroker kit, roller cam, rockers, ported, polished heads, torquer 2 intake, Mallory electronic distributor. The trans was replaced with a TCI street/strip C6 with 2800 stall converter. My Cougar is gold with ginger interior. That is what color your interior is. All 71 to 73 Cougars come with 9-inch rear ends as far as I've been able to find.

I had a 71 XR7 back in the late. 80s. It was rusted around the rear quarters trunk, and some in the floors. It was green with green leather interior. 351C 2V/FMX. Power steering but non newer assisted drum brakes all the way around.

I loved being able to tune up an engine with a flathead screw driver.

I had a beautiful 1972 Cougar.....yellow body, black top, black interior. It was a beauty. That 351 was so fast. It was my bumble bee. lol
