Early TAS run: Linkus gives quick breakdowns of techs and strats, some of which are human-performable Late TAS run: Linkus has multiple breakdowns as every solid surface becomes purely theoretical
  • As someone who has watched a fair bit of Sunshine speedruns and glitch explanation videos this run is 50% "yeah I know what that is but damn he did it clean" and 50% "what the actual shit is happening right now."
  • @MrFreakHeavy
I can hear Panencoek's voice explaining the entirety of Sunshine's speedrun, then ending his explanation by saying "don't blink." And the whole 120 shines are gone.

I love that the TAS Generates invisible floors when its convenient and ignores walls when they're inconvenient
  • @kyrudo
Haven’t finished the video yet, but freaking give a raise to the editor. Holy shit this is so clean and nice
  • @B_Skizzle
Making a 2D TAS is already a huge undertaking. I can’t even fathom how much work it must take for a 3D game, especially one with such complex movement.
  • @zernek9199
I’ve rewatched this TAS so many times. It truly is one of the greatest feats of TAS ever. It is incredible
  • @MrT3a
I love seeing speedrunners react and explain TAS. Yhe bewilderement is sincere, and they often try to analyse precisely what happened, explain, and legitimately try to figure out if this is something they could use later.
  • @biggameboy
I love that the further into the TAS we go, the more annoyed Linkus is
  • @itsOrba
This game was my childhood and seeing someone speedrun it is so fascinating to me
  • @terrypostle
It's funny when the word "Breakdown" shows up on screen, because we all now that's what this TAS makes Linkus go through. Also, props to the editor, this is a really good video.

15:41 Fun Fact: This is also a trick in F-Zero to gain more speed than you could ever get by normal race lines. It is feasible for a human to do in F-Zero though.
  • @Pluthard
Great job by the editor, analyzing a TAS run can be confusing with the frequent breakdowns, stops, comparisons with casual runs etc, but here that was super clean and understandable
  • @waiyon1951
Bowser JR: Daddy why is Mario here already? Bowser: That junior is what a Speed Demon possession looks like.

Zelpikukirby is probably the most helpful person in the sunshine community. They need a lot more recognition for their work over the years. Lots of people have done lots of big things for the game, but continuously over the years zelpiku has contributed so much
