Must agree Moose's Tooth and Spenard Roadhouse are my 2 favorites when we visit Anchorage. The Bear Tooth Theatrepub owned by the same people was good food and a fun twist on dinner and a show!

If you are looking for a RV friendly pellet smoker, check out Green Mountain Grills and their 12 volt pellet smoker grill. The model I have is the Davey Crocket and they have updated since I bought mine 2 years ago. It uses Traeger and other pellets and just sips the electricity. I like it because it takes the inverter out of the equation which uses less battery power bypassing the inverter. I've done 10-12 hour smokes at the campgrounds. It fits a full pork shoulder if you want to make pulled pork in camp and depending on the slab size, you can get a couple slabs of ribs, but its a good idea to have a rib rack to stand them on end and slot more in there. It fits in the truck bed under the toneau cover, it's smoke stack tilts and makes it just fit. Everywhere I go and if i post pictures to RV groups, it gathers a ton of attention. Apparently the notion of dry camping and not needing a generator to smoke your meat is a thing. It takes a little bit to get used to because its compact so the heat builds on the plate under the meat pretty quick, but I've started to figure it out and am really pleased. Though I have to wonder if its working right. Smoking pork shoulders for 10+ hours at Quartz Creek and the bears don't show up. I smoked a meatloaf at Cooper Creek, no bears. That should be like bear crack! But check it out. Amazon wouldn't ship to AK, but I had a friend driving up from WA so we smuggled it in through Canada in the back of a truck... its all about the barbeque!
