Absolutely amazing aircraft... But I saw the SR71 in real life at the March AFB museum and yeah.. that aircraft is #1 in my humble opinion.
  • The best piece of engineering that human mind has ever conceived with the sr-71 and the yf-23 black widow

I live about 45 miles from the base where the majority of the B2s are parked in the US and get to see four or more at low altitude about twice a week when I'm playing golf. Beautiful plane and VERY quiet until they pull the nose up and go full throttle as they climb away. The exhaust is on top of the wing so most of the noise is deflected up and they can be right on top of you before you hear them, even at the altitude they fly here.

Crazy to think this aircraft first flew in 1989. It looks so futuristic even today

That's Mount Charleston snowcapped in the background. I'm blessed to drive around this mountain all week getting to work. And get to see these amazing aircraft.

Can any body imagines the pain of retired fighter pilots who never got a chance to touch this. Beautiful bird.
