Katherine, I wanted to thank you because you helped me find a way outta of CKD. A year ago, my creatinine level was up to 2.43, and my eGFR had dropped to 27. But last test, which was just two weeks ago, showed remarkable improvement. My creatinine is down to 1.20, and my eGFR is up to 62. This shocked both me and my doctor because these levels are within the normal range. I’m 68 and have been dealing with diabetes for the past 18 years. Didn’t even realize my kidneys were acting up til about a year ago. I was in the hospital for something else when the doc told me my kidneys were failing and I might need dialysis. And fast. If they got a little worse, he said, there was gonna be nothing more he could do. A CT scan revealed some cysts on my kidneys, and my eGFR had fallen to 27. I was so scared. But I was also determined to improve my health. So I went home and thoroughly researched kidney function and health. I started watching Katherine's channel and I realized that my diet was quite inadequate, and that there were remedies that could help. I started taking acacia fiber and adopted a new diet. When the blood tests came back, my doctor and I were very pleased. My creatinine had dropped from 2.43 to 1.46, and my eGFR had improved from 27 to 44. I also began using Ganoderma mushrooms to make tea. With each subsequent test, the results continued to improve. My last test, two weeks ago, showed excellent results – creatinine at 1.20 and eGFR at 62, both back in the normal range. This has worked well for me, and if you choose something similar, I hope it works as well for you. Good luck and thank y’all for reading.

😮 I use baking soda every day. Never thought that magnesium is much better. Wow, another information full of tips.
  • Hello doctor Katherine. I know very well about baking soda. In hospitals they do give it to dialysis patients to increase a very low gfr and need diaysis. Thank you for helping.

@Katherine, hi! I’m just thinking, in order to alkalize the blood, I understand why sodium bicarbonate works… but was wondering, does calcium bicarbonate powder do the same? Also, would you have more benefits with the added calcium and decrease in oxalate absorption? Thanks so much! Love your videos.

Wow Katherine you are my no1 on kidney advice One question cordyceps is it good for gfr
  • @jennywu73
It’s best to have your nephrologist write a script for sodium bicarbonate. I take 3 tablets twice a day, 650 grams. It’s better than regular baking soda.
  • hey Katherine is baking soda good to get rid of protéinuria ? if so which one do you recommend powder or supplement and the daily dosage for people suffering from proteinuria
  • @calvinxs6667
Katherine clearly talks about the benefit of Sodium Bicarbonate/Bicarbonate of soda. NOT Baking Soda -(which has aluminium in it). Please stop with the comments about Baking Soda. They are close but not the same.
  • @MR..181
What of the aluminum in baking soda?????
  • I appreciate very much your efforts you do n show on ur videos. It takes more time... n a lot of patience. God helps you more with ur good will. God bless...! 0
