after watching this tribute i have some thoughts — when in the second movie elozabeth uses jack's compass, it points at him. many people interpret it as a proof that she had feelings for him. but what i realized is that elizabeth doesn't want JACK, she wants to BE LIKE jack. she wants to be free like him, to lead like him, to experience adventures and uncertainty... and we see her grow from a lady to a pirate king. a true legend. we deserved a better movie than the fifth one, and it should have been elizabeth who had broken the curse and had freed will

She is such an underrated character! I've always loved her, even as a kid. I remember having two giant POC posters in my room, one of Jack and one of her.

I really want someone to do a video essay on how Elizabeth is a total badass who turns the damsel in distress trope on its head and becomes a major power player in the movies. She never sits around and waits for things to happen to her, she pays attention and she takes action. She uses her femininity as a powerful weapon in a male dominated world.

This is beautiful! This is why Elizabeth Swann is my favorite. A young girl who dreamed to be with the pirates and then becomes one and leads them to war. If anyone asks me why I love this character, I'm sending them to this video. You captured everything about her. Excellent work! Can't wait to see what you do next!

Her development is really the greatest like when we first meet her she is just a damsel in distress and not much of a fighting type and now she is one of the most strongest female pirates one hell of a development also her relationship with jack went from hating him to liking him and want to fight for him and finally to a genuine friendship
