In BC, it is easier to find a place to BUY than to RENT. And yet no one can afford to buy a home for 800K+. My friends bought their home for 500K in 2019 and it is now on the market for 970K.

I never thought I wouldnt be able to buy property...ouch. I can't stay in Toronto long term. My salary is 95k, 100k down payment but no hope of buying anything other than an old condo with high maintenance fees. Its best to move out of the big cities unless you're earning an annual income of 200k.

Can't buy a home when most jobs are part time hours and low wages. As some get shipped in and govrenment pays half their wages like walmart. Shipped home every six months because of visa limit.

The best way to revitalize Canadian housing is to double development fees each year. When Canadians know, it will cost them 30-40% more each year to get a new house, everyone will act like lighting to grab a house.
