Just wanted to tell you how helpful videos like this are for writers, and you do a fantastic job with them. Sometimes I need to describe a journey and want to be accurate about the surroundings, but I can't fly all the way out to (x) location just to drive on a particular road. These not only solve that problem, but they do it REALLY well, with the high-speed dash cam and road signs inset in the video. Thanks so much and great job.

Ah, the Poplar Street Bridge. . . if you ever get stuck in traffic on that thing you can feel it shake. Not fun, and neither is trying to get across the Mississippi at that point. It's such a bottleneck. Anyway, cool video. The sepia effect is an interesting change. Thanks for sharing!

@dvferyance The ramp in the opposite direction, SB Truman Pkwy to SB 55, used to be 2 lanes for the same reason. But MODOT narrowed it to 1 lane so that EB 44 to SB 55 traffic (1 lane ramp) wouldn't have to merge. I bet at some point in the future they'll do the same NB so that NB 55 to WB 44 traffic is an exclusive mandatory exit from the far left lane of NB 55 leading up to that point.

@FreewayAndrew Yeah they should rebuild that interchange there to provide the missing connections. I have always thought the I-64/I-65/I-71 interchange in Louisville was also poorly designed although it's planned to be rebuilt. Like Louisville St Louis has the same challenge being along a river.

The Truman Parkway exit was planned to be a part of the canceled I-755 so that might explain why the exit has 2 lanes.

@dvferyance It makes sense now because at Downtown, there's no ramp to I-64 West via I-55.

@dvferyance Also, both I-70 (future I-44) and I-64 thru Downtown are only 4 lanes.
