With some inclement weather in store, we didn't know what to expect, climbing from sea level to just shy of 4,000 feet elevation, especially given the forecast for lightning, hail, and worse!
But the brave souls toed the startline and we had a great time all the same.

You were not riding through pine trees. There are very few there. They are mostly fir, cedar and spruce. Thanks for coming out.

It was fun to ride with y'all at the Bon Jon Race!
-
Congrats at the win. I went with the same tire choice and it’s my goto option for chunkier stuff in the PNW. I was in the 2nd start group and saw tons of riders cut the race short or need aid because of the rain/cold!

Rene Hearse tires are awesome. I use the Hurricane Ridge in 700*42. They held up great during Unbound
-
Nice1, looks like a wonderful spot minus the weather. Stay safe and upright!

Great video! Met you at Friday check in. I rode the short course. The weather was terrible and so cold! But thank goodness we didn’t get the thunderstorms… Glad you enjoyed the ride!
-
Good to see you out there last Saturday. I definitely suffered from the cold. Still a beautiful day out.

You Sir, Live the Good Life!!! Chapeau!!

I live on vashon I discovered gravel racing online recently. I used to race road in the 90s. I'm hoping to save for my first gravel bike .it's great to see a race in washington

Great setup, I built up an Cannondale EVO SE with force 2x and running the Manostash on Reserves 40/44 wheels, used it for a gravel race last month in a crazy mixed terrain of mud, muck, sand, chunk, fine gravel, and tarmac, and it handled fantastic. Ran the endurance casing. No wheeping and havent noticed a puncture since I installed them two months ago with orange seal.

Favorite Cyclist!! More Small Events for the average everyday Masses......Why?? Training isn't as consuming and you get more time with your supportive family. Ride on Ted!!
-
I run the Rene Herse file tread on gravel. It provides great traction and predictable cornering. I have the knobbiest, but I haven’t had a chance to use them yet.

You were in the Olympics not the cascades

Keep your maple syrup packets off our ground.

46/50 must feel good on the climbs. Like climbs feel good 😅.

Quick RH question.....do you know if the Hatcher Pass has the same performance/tread pattern as the Snoqualmie Pass. I am interested in trying some RH tires and know you do (amazingly) well on the latter, but I'm heavier / taller and thinking of trying the Hatcher Pass....currently on 42 and 45 Pathfinders. Thanks !

What’s the name of the tires again? 😂 you gave me the want to give it a try!

Would like to hear some thoughts on the KAV helmet. I'm looking for a replacement and its on my short list.

Thanks for the video. How do you like that helmet? Heard mixed reviews on the weight factor. Thanks!
