Good sync can make a level go from good to great. Clicking to the beat of the song is one of the best feelings in a Geometry Dash level. In this video, I try to take this to the extreme by making a level with such good sync that I can beat it without even looking at the game.

  • It would be hilarious to make this level into a move trigger nightmare, so it would actually be simpler to play it blindly.

you don't need to use spider to sync, there's a tool in the level song selection screen called "Create Lines" where you can sync it instead, also with better edit there's some additional settings that makes that menu really useful

little tip for doing stuff like this: use Y pos resets, like landing on a block or having slopes push you into a 1 block gap. otherwise if your inputs are just a few milliseconds off each time, it adds up with enough of them to be really substantial. (I notice the ufo part especially struggles with this and that's a mistake that happens the most with ufo)

As a person that is currently 17,000 ft below sea level, I feel welcomed :)

Happy birthday, Slayer! Great level! Also, did anyone notice how it said “double digits” on screen despite the fact that double digits starts at 10? Lol
  • @EREnder
I remember watching the original video on this and thinking it was a super cool idea, interesting seeing you doing it again :)
  • @hehmarbs
I remember watching your original video and thinking “wowza I’m shit at building”. I entirely forgot about the fact you could use spider for lining up sync and stuff, I’ve always used the Create Lines tool, but somehow it always ends up slightly off, even when at one time it’s perfect. Better layout than most of my anyway though lol.

The original video many years ago is how I got introduced to this channel, I even tried extending the level with a ball,

As a rhythm game player, it'd be fun to see polyrhythms mapped
