Casey Kasem, the original voice actor of Shaggy, actually quit the role out of protest when they asked him to portray Shaggy for a Burger King commercial. As a dedicated vegan, he refused to promote a brand that sold hamburgers. And only returned to the role when they promised to make Shaggy a vegetarian.
