  • You aided me step by step through my first playthrough as a storm Sorceress & now i find that you have covered Paladin too, you truly are a godsend sir, keep up the great work, heres to another playthrough with your help 🍻
  • Just added minthara to the party, i check youtube and the update is an hour old. It is ordained!
  • I recommend make full use of gloves of dexterity from githyanki creche. They will give you 18 dex. Also recommend deal with hug for +1 to you strength stat. It should look like that: 17 st. 8 dex. 14 con. 8 int. 10 wis. 16 cha. When you obtane gloves and hug hair, it will look like this: 18 st. 18 dex. 14 con. 8 int. 10 wis. 16 cha. Fighting style: +1 AC Feats: Level 4 - gwm (with advantage you should reliably hit targets with +10 damage) Level 8 - savage attack. (Advantege on all you damage dice, including smites). Level 12 - +2 to str. In act 2 use potion of everlasting vigour for permanent + 2 to you str. You will have max str., adv on attack and damage and high AC. You can basiclly play solo at that point.

I was looking for this video the other day, nice!

d4 Initiative rolls is probably the weirdest change Larian made from 5e. DEX was already the strongest stat. It didn't need to be made absolutely compulsory on every class!

When I played pure paladin, I used Luminous armor with Gloves and Boots of Reverberation until I got to act 3 and started to want to wear some fancy items. Boy it was fun to inflict 4 stack of reverb on hit, then 4 stacks of reverb on smite (need to add flat elemental damage from listed on gloves for it to work this way), just the sound of that as well as knocking enemy prone with a single attack was so satisfying.

I literally made a paladin build last night and followed your old video, will remake it later
  • Half orc is an incredibly optimal choice for Paladin because savage attacks applies not only to weapon damage but also smites. An OoV paladin with a Glaive or great axe and GWM, rerolling weapon and smite dice with GWF will do insane amounts of damage on every crit

Been needing a pally build for my orc since racial traits only benefit melee and he’s my face Rip These videos are coming in clutch

17:00 I just want to say: I'm in my second playthrough, and I decided to play a Paladin with Durge background. This so called bug is what sold the whole idea to me: as a "resisting urge" Durge, and as a Paladin, the whole idea of "I'm my own worst enemy" idea is VERY flavorful, roleplaying wise! And I even get to put together that one alongside Shadowheart's Bless, and therefore literally crush encounters, so... Win win!
  • Speaking of Gith swords, another crazy good one (especially if you can get it in Act One) would be the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane. Combine that with either a Gith, or use disguise self however you can, and yeah. One of the best weapons you can get that will most likely carry you for the rest of the game on your striker paladin.
  • @TerantQ
I just recruited her for the first time yesterday, perfect timing

The illithid power Luck of the Far Realms is also nice. With the increases to hit chance you'll be seeking, the ability to turn a successful attack roll into a critical hit on command (once per long rest) is insanely powerful for Paladins. In addition the prerequisite power Favorable Beginnings adds your proficiency bonus to your first attack roll or ability check against a target. Useful for attacking and getting OHKOs obviously but also nice since your Paladin will likely be the party face and the extra 1/2/3/4 points for Persuasion or other ability checks helps.
  • If you don't need the extra initiative, or if you're using strength elixirs, and so don't need the ASI as much, another good feat to take at level 4 to really boost your damage, if you can get higher attack rolls (e.g. from bless), advantage, etc, would be Great Weapon Master.
