This is what country music was made of !!! Nashville should be ashamed of what they are calling country music now!!!!!!
  • I was sitting in a cafe on Jan 1,1953 in Gary Indiana eating breakfast when the news came over the cafe radio that Hank had died. That was real heartbreaking news as I loved Hank as thousands of others did. Nashville was full of great singers and musicians then and Hank was the greatest. 40's,50's and into the 60's had the best men and women singers that ever lived. Great country music ended when we lost these. Wish I could go back and see and hear Hank Williams and Hank Snow and Hank Thompson and Ernest Tubb and Bill Monroe and Patsy Cline and and....
  • His songs never get old. His music will go and on as long as there is music. My dear Dad first exposed me to Hank's music. I am now 75 ans stil love it and sing it.
  • Now y’all know why Hank Sr. is The King Of Country music. God bless him and his family

Dear Nashville: This is country music. Just thought you needed to know, because you've lost track of what it really is.
  • Another genius songwriter who wrote such beautiful and popular songs!

I am 40 years old now and I grew up listening to his music. His voice just nourishes my soul. He still remains the greatest country singer ever. I would just like to one day see someone digitally remaster this old camera footage to HD 1080!

Hank Williams’ voice just sends the lyrics right into my soul. The love, the pain and hurt, just chilling. To me his female equal was Patsy Cline.
  • As a small child who was living through the loss of her 2 parents in the 40's, Hank Williams coming across the wires was my salvation.
  • I loved him even as a young girl and now I am 71 and still love his singing

I grew up listening to Hank Sr., from my earliest memory. At 75, sure I’ll die with him echoing in my head and heart. He died at 29 but was always an old soul. R.I.P. and love, Hank.

this is the best music ever, they should play this on the radio instead of the junk they have now
  • Thank God for Hank and his music. Life wouldn't be the same wouldn't him. A true American legend.
