When a youtube cartoon is more emotionally well written then 99% of media.

This feels both fiction and non-fiction at the same time, and I mean that in the best way possible

You know. It’s brings out a really interesting point about Earth’s character if you pay attention. A lot of people might think that he’s a one dimensional character who’s only a bully and doesn’t know nothing about what tf he’s doing. Earth’s hallucinations or this figment of his imagination shows that deep inside he may be aware that what did wasn’t right but he always tries to be in denial about it. When none of his friends were around, his conscience ran wild and it showed what he was thinking about, that maybe he shouldn’t take Venus so seriously because Venus is angry usually anyways and tries to laugh it off. But eventually his deeper thoughts about how he screws up and wanted them to correct him also showed up but he still knows (through Moon’s words) that he wasn’t all that willing to change. Through his imagination while being alone, his intrusive thoughts came out and left him in shock. He might have been in denial all along that he was actually wrong to not admit his mistakes. When others were around, he was too used to acting like he was special and hoped that he’d be able to keep believing himself to be special without consequences, even if he acted like as ass. Maybe he’s secretly aware of this. Why could that be? Is this his childish ego that he didn’t want to admit? Or he desperately wants to feel special for dealing with earthlings? He does seem to constantly bring up his hospitality as one of his major concerns of course. It may be that in return for all the stress, he wants to feel special because it motivates him and keeps him going despite everything we do to him. And why wouldn’t it be stressful? Think of how Mars and Titan responded to Astrodude just landing on one’s surface and drilling into the other. It hurt. Think of Earth and our mining activities. Yeah, we call it “resources” but to him, it must feel like we’re drilling out his insides, making stuff out of it and throwing some of it into his own atmosphere as junk! How messed up is that? And we’re also killing the rest of the biodiversity rapidly. He must think, “At least it’s worth it because it makes me special! At least they’ll remember me as their home planet that keeps them alive!” I remember how Earth refuses to even talk about these with others. Mars said he never wants to talk about it. When Venus says that Earthlings are killing him, he quickly and angrily glosses over the fact. He never shares! Trying to think he’s the best is his way to cope. And in the process, he developed enough ego to be ignorant and a jerk with others. Just my two cents on this. It might be the time to admit that others aren’t just floating dummies to bear with him even if he has his reasons and that it might also hurt others, and that he needs to soften down to avoid further such conflicts and be heard in return so he finds a healthier way to go about things. Tl;dr Earth knows deep inside what he did had a bad effect but doesn’t want to let go of his proud attitude because it’s his way to cope with the stress of having earthlings. And now he might have realised that he went too far. Either that or he really is just having HALLUCINATIONS and if that’s true, it’s even more messed up. Edit: Added some more thoughts

Wow. That episode was so deep. It also shows how much Moon is involved with Earth. He decided to come back instead of staying with "Moons Alliance" where he could have much more respect and "unconditional" friends.

4:09 to 6:05 was definitely the most lore filled part of the earth i never knew how hard it was for him until then this made me from thinking eaeth is meh to thinking earth was funny to thinking earth was annoying to thinking earth was the worst character but now after that momment i feel so bad for him and i didnt think he deserves it its just proof that hes been through... alot

I have a little theory: So, in jupiter's moons part 2, in the last minutes of the video, the moons said they were gonna take down the earth, right? The Moon (earth's moon) most likely knows about Earth's problems and insecurities, right? The Moon might've come to Earth to warn him about the other moons (titan, phobos and deimos, ganymede, etc.). But hey, that's just a theory, a SOLARBALLS THEORY!

"WHAT DOES A MOON LIKE HIM KNOW HOW TOO BE EARTH?" hits hard. Made me tear up. I knew that Earth was just insecure and it wasn't because he was selfish and judging. He had reasons. But he still messed up.
  • @Gamespectives
This series has way better char development and plot and emotional range than most Hollywood movies nowadays
  • @Golf-ball
“I always come back” William is that you on the moon?
  • This episode taught us an important lesson: is who earth truly was before and realised that no matter how much he is a jerk he is still kind to us

As a canadian, the box that said "Should we blame Canada?" made me say yes. Yes you should.
  • Poor earth 🌎 no one knows how much pain and suffer and sacrifices he made for perfect human life 1like= one sorry for earth
  • anyone else watching part 1 and 2 over and over again anxiously waiting for part 3?

Tbh unlike what Earth is thinking here, Titan wasn’t there to brag. He wasn’t seeking validation. He came to meet him because he admired the Earth cause he can have life and not to shove it in his face that he could have life too. Titan didn’t even know that he could have life. You could see the shock on his face when Mars said that Titan might be potentially habitable like Earth. Sadly Mars didn’t know how going on and on about this would intensify Earth’s insecurities and make him act like that. Earth is definitely insecure deep inside about being replaced if there was another habitable celestial body in the Solar system itself but he also kinda rushed it and didn’t listen to what Titan had to say. Titan didn’t do anything to deserve being belittled like that but Earth probably felt that the conversation was gradually turning around to make it look like having life was easy-peasy and normalising the difficulties he faces because of Earthlings, so he ended up acting on his instincts i.e. being in denial about Titan being anything more than a Moon. And pretty rashly too. “Moons should know their place” is absolutely NOT a nice way to say whatever he meant. And the moons really don’t know all that much about this side of the matter ofc. Which is understandable if you think about how the moons of almost every planet have been shown feeling like they weren’t treated well at some point. If you listen to what Ganymede says about this and the animation at the moment, he imagined Mars being all smug as they suppressed Titan, and called Earth their Golden Boy. It’s certainly not the case. Mars and Moon were quite mad (if Titan could see their faces) at what Earth said even before Titan left. Ganymede didn’t get that. (honestly he just seems to want to join for the kick and not to correct things. First, he wanted to show off about being bigger than Titan and then immediately changed this peaceful approach because he wanted to take down some planet without properly understanding what was going on, and he’s a playboy) Who knows if they think all planets suck in general, not knowing that some of them have a tough time too. Saturn’s moons also seemed to doubt Saturn’s intentions when he just genuinely wanted to apologise for killing moons in the past. (We know Saturn is one of the softest characters out there) Titan seems to also have forgotten about what would happen to Earthlings if they attacked earth. He did idealise Earth at first too, thinking him to be perfect or something. Not calling out any of them as being bad, but there sure is a plenty of lack of understanding here. What messy and unfortunate circumstances :’) At least our Moon seems to know better.

5:38 Can we agree that this definitely one of the most shocking and saddest scenes in Solarballs?

This episode literally hit harder than anything I've ever seen from this channel. 😭 And seeing the Earth cry was so heartbreaking and depressing to see. 😢 Any way I can't wait for part 2!! 🎉 And great work as always Solarballs!! 🎉🎉
