In the last year, I've done over 200+ individual shop audits and worked with several students 1:1. In this video, I've compiled the top 5 mistakes I see Etsy Print on Demand sellers making that are hurting their shop and leading to no sales. Not only do I share the mistakes, I also share what I recommend to do instead and how you can avoid these mistakes in your own print on demand business.

I was just curious Taylor, do you get more sales during week days or weekends I been only getting sales on weekdays for me wonder if your seeing that too?
  • @geminigena
? How many products would you stick to (and for how long) if you have a niche shop?
  • One thing I have noticed is the sheer volume of content that is blatantly stolen. It makes it hard to see if it is one store opening other stores to resell the same thing as a false competitor or if people are just ripping each other off. For example if you type 'couple hoodie' into Etsy you see an entire page of an identical sweatshirt design with roman numerals on the chest and an initial with a heart on the sleeve. This is peppered with obviously stolen IP from Spiderman and Lilo and Stitch and Nike. It feels odd that despite how blatant it is Etsy doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. I thought it was funny at least.

Hi Taylor. I have had a store for 6 months and only made 1 sale. I started with mugs, then candles, then totes and now sweatshirts. I get 0 views. I know it is because there is no branding, different niches, the designs might not be good (I think I am getting better little by little, though). I am not with research either. Everytime I do research, I end up putting up listings where there is a lot of competition. I know I have to learn a laaaat more. My question is, do you think I should eliminate all my 156 listings, bye bye banner and logo and start over? Thank you, Taylor..I love your videos

I sell mostly phone cases with my niche, but I have also received purchases from mugs and shirts. I just started blankets because they have a higher volume search and I was told to place your best sellers on more products

Minute 10:39 then why every youtuber say that etsy combines different keywords together?
  • Hey Taylor, I started in POD in Sept 23 and I now have made about 350 sales, almost all of which are a 'Your Text Here' shirt. Other than this, I have 400 listings including primarily shirts and sweatshirts but also about 100 ornaments and perhaps another 50 or so assorted candles and blankets + a couple mugs and tote bags. I guess I have done this all wrong. I wanted to have a general store so I could figure out which niche would work for me. Identifying a niche has been the one thing about POD that just seems to alude me. Since I still have not determined a niche and feel like I'm no closer, should I just stick with shirts and sweatshirts and keep going? I don't want to give up ornaments because I started with them in Sept 23 and made 60 sales in Q4. Sooooo confused! I am a subscriber and have watched every one of your videos - TWICE - since I found you in November of 23. I'm not sure you actually answer questions via comments but thought I'd give it a try.
