The newest head coach and general manager for the Carolina Panthers will officially speak with members of the press under the process blue banner for the first time this week.

The team announced Tuesday that Dave Canales and Dan Morgan will host their introductory press conference together on Thursday, February 1 at 10 a.m. at Bank of America Stadium.

The Panthers made it official with Canales on Jan. 25, becoming the franchise's seventh head coach. He previously spent one season as the offensive coordinator with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he was partially credited with revitalizing former Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield's career. Prior to then, Canales coached quarterbacks with the Seattle Seahawks for 13 seasons, working with the likes of Russel Wilson and Geno Smith.

Dan Morgan, meanwhile, is a bit more familiar with Carolina, serving as assistant general manager for the team since 2021. He also has experience on the field with the Panthers, being drafted by the team in 2001 and playing with them for seven seasons. Morgan was bumped up to the GM position on Jan. 22, 2024.

While on the field, Morgan was a staple for the Panthers during the 2000s, making a Pro Bowl appearance in 2004. While the team lost the Super Bowl that same year, Morgan had a game-high 11 tackles during the big game. #Sports #NFL #Panthers

At least they are honest we dont have young hongry dawgs and players who compete, love football, and wont take losing for an answer. They admit our team is in a bad spot. I love, I dont care what we cant do....Looks at what we can do. Need young hongry dawgs....like those of yore Kuechly, Smith, TOLBERT, Mills, etc. Culture and fanbase need to be built. Im a psl owner and will be at every game contributing as a fan.

This coach should be a motivational speaker for the Charlotte Hornets.
