👉 About Us!
Hi! We are Jody and Chris - and this is our journey!

Welcome to our visual journal. We are adventure seeking, outdoor enthusiasts. With over 40 years of camping experience, the roads we've traveled and memories made along the way are far too precious & beautiful not to share. Life is short - We hope to inspire you to get out there, do the things — before it’s too late.

We thrive in nature & love to adventure in the great outdoors. Along the way we enjoy photography & birding while part-time wandering & traveling the Pacific Northwest; camping mostly off-grid in both our Honda Pilot SUV Micro Camper and with a 15’ Escape fiberglass camp trailer. (Not familiar with the Escape Trailer? It's similar to Scamp, Casita, Bigfoot, Burro, Boler, Trillium, Oliver, & Parkliner.)

We hope to inspire you to get outside & enjoy nature as much as we do!

  • It is nice to have the right gear. Sometimes, though, we’ve found we don’t know we need it until we’ve camped a bit. And it’s so different from camper to suv camping to tent camping. We’ve also had instances of having stuff and realized we didn’t need it after all.
  • @BWoodPhotography
Love the simplicity of what you have (plus the extras)! Great setup with everything you need. Thank you for sharing what you use.

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing. Cool to see what others are doing. You gave me some great ideas. I don’t usually scroll comments but noted some negativity there. Don’t let any of that ever get to you. You rock and you are appreciated. Thanks again for some inspiration! Best!!

Some great tips for us. We pick up our RV this week and we have some of these already - but the storage and lighting tipis are very cool Thanks for sharing Jody and Chris. 👍
  • New subscriber here. You have great ideas without all the nonsense. Thanks so much.
  • Thanks for doing all the work and sharing these cool items. We definitely are going to invest in many of them!!!!

I love the Booklight , I place them throughout my RAV4 where I might need some light. They are easy to turn on and off and the clip makes it easy to use anywhere you need them. If you stealth camp they give you enough light to see, but are not so bright to draw attention from the outside.
  • @leen_smit
Very nice my friend, have a nice trip. Greetings from Leen.👍👍👍

Excellent ideas. Over the years I've discovered it's almost always better to make the investment because it lasts longer thereby stretching your dollars. Those cheap string lights are a prime example. After replacing them every single season it's just not worth it. I definitely plan to get better quality lighting for my adventures. It might be a bit more up front but over time they will pay for themselves. I have two of those clip on reading lights and I love them.
  • @WeekendWandering
Great list! I loved Mt little string lights too by mpower, but they died on me 😭 I think it's from leaving them out in the rain on a long camping trip

BC I spend way too much time watching prep vids, I've seen alot of what you cover but these videos would save many time :) What did you make the rear pole for hanging across the hooks out of? May be worth a short video; keep me posted

What about the 🚻, what if you have to get up and go a couple times in the middle of the night? I would like a teardrop camper or van but my wife can't get on her knees anymore.
