The INSTA360 GO 2 Is too HOT!

Published 2022-09-10
The Insta360 Go2 is a lightweight ultra compact action camera with at least one serious flaw.

Many owners of this camera including myself have experienced frustrating issues with the camera stopping way sooner than the stated limit of 30 minutes. The root cause of this issue is overheating.

I also experience problems accessing files via the USB when connected to both my MacBook and iMac computers. I've seen comments from many others who are experiencing the same issue.

You can check out one of my previous videos that I shot with this camera here:    • Video

  • Your comments and questions are welcomed.   I have ordered and awaiting delivery of a copper heatsink from Amazon that is commonly used to keep PS5 chips from overheating. I'll attach it to one of my camera mounts with the hope that it prevents the camera from overheating for improved reliability. Look for an update soon. I've posted an update on this camera. The overheating problem is not solved, but I have found a useful way to get 20 minute recordings for my content. Hopefully the camera issue doesn't get worse or completely fail. The update link appears at the end of this video.
