  • 54:00 There are "cursed" trips, where nothing goes right, and multiple deal breakers pop up, in clusters even. When trips go this wrong for me, I just give up and go home. carefully.
  • @coolvibes3663
Hey, on a positive note - I see you dropped some serious weight- looking good. Always enjoy your videos and both your efforts. cheers
  • Your wife is an absolute trooper. My wife would have killed me. First time finding your channel. Great content. I have officially liked and subscribed.
  • I live in northern Nevada and seeing our wild horses never gets old!
  • You and your wife are amazing resilient, a jeep engine blew up (and warranty would not pay out), now a trailer blows up and not just an axel but needing fabrication, not sure how you keep a smile on your face, then lost/misplaced keys, amazing
  • Somehow, all your challenges just added to my desire to overland in Oregon! The memories of your trip will become fonder with time because you took on an adventure and overcame great obstacles. Thank you for the video.

You guys have had a string of bad luck, I'm sorry! We had some issues on a recent trip where it felt like EVERYTHING broke, but nothing to this extent. The wear on the inside of the tire tread makes it look like the trailing was failing, maybe earlier on the trip. It's definitely something to show Tribe to see if they can make improvements/beef things up.

This is why i prefer my camper, i can sleep anywhere and no towing
  • I just had a kind of rough trip myself to Telluride. Discount Tires "balanced" and rotated my tires the day before my trip and Brakes Plus adjusted my parking brake and put new brakes on the rear of the Jeep. Tires were not at all balanced with a bad shimmy over 45 mph, they filled 4 tires to 40 psi and one to 32, and broke my wheel lock on the spare. On Imogene pass I heard metal banging and found the rear brake caliper was falling off and I was missing one bolt. I took a bolt off my roof rack and used it for the brakes. My Teraflex springs and shocks in the rear also died and destroyed my bump stops. Your trip sounded way tougher. When it rains, it pours!

You 2 sure had the best attitude toward dealing with your trials and tribulations, congratulations.
  • Oof. An Odyssey. Clearly Murphy was stowed away somewhere on the rig without an invitation. That spot in Oregon with the unmelted snow was nuts. Common sense says if I’m seeing unmelted snow in July, there’d be trees, and nope. Not here to second guess decisions made in the heat of battle, but I’m gonna. I’m only trying to help others before they head out for epic trips. The more remote the location I’m heading the more psychotic I am about spare keys. Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean Murphy’s not stalking me. No guarantees that “Mucca” ‘d have a locksmith in town, but the cost of fuel might’ve been comparable to getting access to your stuff (if they have one).
  • Ran into same issue with U-Haul not renting soft top jeep. Needing to get a broke down jeep home ended up renting a truck and trailer from u haul to accomplish it. Cheaper than tow company
  • Ive been looking at these type of trailers with these new type of suspension systems and have wondered how reliable they are. Thanks for answering my question !
  • @luchaDor
I have been in the same situation as you with a trailer. I have since split all my keys up (with extras cut) and stash a spare in every vehicle's glovebox, on my car key ring, and the 'main' key has a magnet on it so if I do lose it, the magnet will hold the key to the metal trailer if I do forget it. I feel your pain on that one!
  • I wonder if that pay phone was operational? I never see those anymore.
