Nice video guys, I enjoyed that one. That few mm of makes a difference. I could distinctly hear the punchier quicker attack on the standard vs the more rounded sublte attack on the pre-war. I think you have described the difference well.

Excellent review that is very accurate on the subtle tonal differences between these two awesome guitars.

Great review!! Both sound great! Need one of each. Your description was spot on. OM was clear and punchy with less bass and the OM/PW sounded more full but less clear. Almost sounded muffled slghtly. Tough call which is better.

Don't have my headphones right now; just through my phone they both sound equally incredible. I'm sure with headphones I could tell the slight differences in both though they will still be incredible guitars! They're SCGC guitars!!!!

Great video. That's a good generalization. If you had several standard models I'm sure each one would vary some, but probably not as much as standard to prewar. I'm sure if you went through enough models you could find a pre-war and a standard that are a lot closer than these two examples. I'm in the market for one of these but can not get any to play in person so I will have to go by the general characteristics by models. Thank You.

Thanks for the comparison! Wow, this was a tough one for me. Can you just give me both of them?

Love Santa Cruz Guitars!!!

Hi Guys - thanks for another great comparison of two great guitars - surprised you made no comment on the strings - this is a big deal given that most folks who want short scale guitars want strings with less tension. How do the SC strings compare to others ? Thnx from San Francisco.

Both great

The OM had more twang, to me the OMPW each note seemed more expressive and didn’t blend into the other notes as much. My vote, PW.
