Kara Dahl Russell is a professional interdisciplinary artist: Actress, Singer, Harpist, Designer, Writer, Lecturer, and Teacher. She is currently Adjunct Professor of Applied Harp at Salisbury (MD) University. She also performs regularly with touring programs and playing harp for events. As a Classical Music Program Director and full-time Radio Host on an NPR affiliate station, she achieved the rare feat of winning 3 Associated Press Awards for "Specialty Reporting" on Classical Music. She was awarded a "Light of Literacy Award" from the Friends of Wicomico Public Library, with a commendation from the Maryland Senate, for her harp programs that combine history, biography, literature, arts and song with harp recital works.
