About Daughter of El Roi

El Roi is one of the Hebrew names for God. Literally translated it means "The God Who Sees Me." Genesis Chapter 16 tells the story of Hagar, the slave of Abraham and hand maiden of Sarah. In their disobedience to God and their unwillingness to wait on God's timing, Hagar was given to Abraham and conceived his first born son Ishmael. Sarah's jealousy and cruel treatment of Hagar drove her to flee to the desert. The angel of the Lord appeared to Hagar and urged her to return. It was Hagar who gave the Lord this name as He saw her in her distress.

As a redeemed daughter of El Roi, I pray that He accepts this offering of praise and worship through dance and flagging. "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed." (Isaiah 54:10, NIV)
