Retired whole time fire officer with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service UK. Former deputy watch commander (two pump) and watch commander (one pump). Retired after 25 years suffering spinal injuries on duty. Went on to become Facilities Manager with responsibility for regional fire training for The Benefits Agency. Now fully retired disabled after further spinal problems. Interests are computer technology, electronics and nature photography. Now, two years after a heart, attack I have taken up cycling again at the age of 70. OK it's an ebike but I need the confidence of being able to get back home. 😁
