Originally from Vancouver Island, violinist Jeremy Ferland is currently based in the metro Vancouver area. His principal teachers have included Burkhard Godhoff, Sharon Stanis, Arthur Polson, and Dolores Vann. He has also had lessons and masterclasses with notable musicians such as Pinchas Zukerman, Eugene Fodor, Charles Castleman, Yu Lina, and Tadeusz Gadzina. He has appeared as a soloist with the Victoria Chamber Orchestra, the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Victoria Orchestra, among others. He regularly plays first violin in the Vancouver Island Symphony, and also performs as a freelance musician around the Lower Mainland.
