Grand Canyon Mule Wrangler ‘Tex’ first attempted to thru hike the Appalachian Trail in 2020 and made it 344 miles to Erwin, Tennessee before going home due to the pandemic. She started the hike over again on March 10, 2021 from Amicalola Falls, Georgia and successfully completed her journey atop Mount Katahdin on September 20th of the same year.
Since then, she’s returned to her job leading mule rides to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and goes hiking and backpacking as often as she can.
