With a degree in English, Michael has always had an affinity for storytelling. And while he accepts his mediocrity as a storyteller, he idolizes a good story wherever it can be found -- from books to magazines to Youtube -- and often appreciates the style of one's writing more than the actual subject that it conveys.

He picked up his first GoPro a few years ago and decided to finally start documenting the trips that he had been taking for decades. Filming can be a beautiful art form and the perfect complement to words.

From short trips to epic adventures, the trip is just the beginning. It is the personal connections forged, experiences created, and themes realized that impact us long past the trip's end.
