I have been playing the piano since I was 7. I only took lessons from the age of 7-11 but kept playing and when I finished my University Education I joined a music course at a local college in order to get lessons from the jazz pianist who was one of the tutors.
I worked professionally occasionally on ships and in hotels around the world but stopped travelling when my daughter was born.
I enjoy playing ragtime and stride piano amongst other styles and love writing my own compositions which I have begun again after years of neglect. My music has been described as fun and happy although I can do melancholy! I just love good melodies.
I am hoping my videos will be of interest to and will encourage other pianists and musicians to keep practising and keep improving.
