Well, what can I say? Sometimes I shoot my mouth off. Other times I'm the soul of discretion. Still others just soppy. I think astrology's total cack, but I can't help being a Virgo. I think all religion's cack too - but I love the history it comes with - the language, the architecture, the culture (some more cultured than others), the power, the politics - and the garb - and, frankly, the sheer flummery!

The world's not something I thought about that much: I've been as guilty as any of us "in the West" taking the peace dividend after WW2 for granted. I've been naive. I've learned my lesson but I'm not bitter. I am, however, going to write things that I feel sure of, that mean something to me - on portentous matters.

And sometimes - just go "awww" to a kitten video - or to a moose nibbling someone's ear through an open car window. Or to a racoon/dog/cow/squirrel rescue.

Other times, I'll check out some cars - an unusual weather event - or an old battle - or queen! Anyone welcome x
