On February 14th 2080, the Mexican government signs the treaty of Jalisco into law. Which grants US forces the authority to carry operations beyond the southern border. Since the beginning of March, to the dismay of the local population and the international community, a large number of American troops have joined the frontlines.

Insurgency already being rampant on both coasts New York, Miami, Seattle & San Francisco could be classified as war zones. This treaty was a show force by the Senate, a last ditch effort. If there is any hope to dismantle the Cartels, who maintain an overwhelming control over many States of the country.

In the summer of the same year, stories of gold discovered near the small town of Bacoachi broke out of the Sonora region. The morning of October 15th, a company of highly trained US Marines stationed in the region were tasked with a mission, escorting a group of researchers to investigate the source of this new gold rush.
